Thank you for visiting my site. Last year I got retrenched and decided to take my retrenchment package and move my family to a small property that we had inherited in the South of France.

Our son is young enough not to have to go to school and the possibility of getting work again in a hurry was fast becoming a wishful thought. We packed up and left and now we are six months into renovating a property that didn’t have any running water, electricity or even a watertight roof.

We are fixing everything ourselves and learning along the way to save as much money as we can. While we were doing research, we often wished someone would have done it for us. It was time consuming and sometimes really difficult – that gave us the idea to build websites dedicated to specific diy and woodworking projects that we got involved in.

Maybe our reserch to find the best prices will help you to make the best choices in your projects.

To fund our websites, we do get a commission from the sales of some of the products that we have used and would recommend. We only recommend products that we ourselves have used although we will discuss plans that we have not personally used but think that the information we have found might be of some use to you.
